Thermoplastics

This was a new class created due to the restrictions of COVID-19. We focused on two thermoplastics most commonly used in costuming: EVA foam and Worbla. Our first two projects were out of EVA foam because it is fairly cheap and straightforward. We first created foam bracers following a tutorial form Kamui Cosplay. After completing the bracers, we then built pauldrons using a base pattern, and I personally tied my bracers and pauldrons to a previous plague doctor build. We then began working with worbla, a easier manipulated, but expensive, thermoplastic. We were tasked with creating a single bracer, which I did mine with a Greek theme. We then had a final project where we were free to choose. I created worbla dragon and human skulls, then I incorporated the dragon skull into a horned headdress.
