For this project, we were tasked to design and construct our own doublets. I chose to do a futuristic theme because it had never been done before We were given basic pattern pieces for the doublet, but I manipulated my pieces to better fit my design. Fabric and embellishments were pulled from the school costume stock. The final product had sheer sleeves, quilted flaps, a shadowfold button cover, and a slashed yoke. Estimated build time is 3 1/2 months.
